Making complex decisions more understandable.

As a Partner at Kumo Property Group, Amber helps shape a business grounded in clear communication, sound judgment, and lasting professional relationships. She brings a legal perspective to the questions owners face while pursuing her passion for real estate development.

Her approach begins with listening: what does the property need to accomplish, who will use it, and what decisions will shape its future? From there, the work is to identify the real issues, explain the choices, and keep responsibilities clear.

Working alongside her father, Managing Partner Dan Russell, Amber connects her legal and relationship-building experience with his global business background and hands-on redevelopment work.

A legal foundation. An owner’s perspective.

Amber earned her B.A. in Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with distinguished honors from The University of Texas School of Law. She finished in the top ten percent of her class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Her career began at Baker Botts, where she worked on significant disputes for institutional clients. She later focused on client advocacy and founded LOAR PLLC. That background combines careful analysis with an appreciation for the people affected by consequential decisions.

At Kumo Property Group, those habits inform her approach to real estate—not a promise that a property engagement includes legal representation.

The value of a thoughtful process.

Understand the priorities.

Start with the owner, the property, and the intended use. A worthwhile plan reflects the circumstances instead of assuming every project has the same answer.

Make the next step clear.

Translate complexity into useful questions and manageable decisions. Identify the appropriate professionals and clarify who is responsible for each part of the work.

Care for the relationship.

Treat a transaction or project as part of a longer conversation. Respect for people, attention to detail, and follow-through remain central after the initial decision.

Real estate with a wider purpose.

Amber’s interest in development is about more than buildings. It is about the places where families, businesses, and communities can move forward—and the practical work required to make them useful over time.

Kumo Property Group brings that perspective to investment, redevelopment, leasing, and property stewardship. Each engagement begins with the actual property, available scope, and the expertise the work requires.

Property services, title services, legal representation, and neutral mediation are distinct engagements. An inquiry here does not establish an attorney-client relationship.
